If you only need voice while gaming, TeamSpeak 3 is worth trying as an alternative to running Discord alongside DayZ.

Discord

A broader chat, voice and video app. Its desktop client runs multiple Chromium processes; enabling the game overlay adds more.

TeamSpeak 3

A dedicated voice client for connecting to server channels. A straightforward option when your priority is talking to teammates.

There is no fixed RAM or CPU saving for every PC. To compare voice-only usage fairly, use the same call size and settings, close video and streams, and count all processes for each app in Task Manager. Fully close Discord when testing TeamSpeak 3.Why Discord runs multiple processes ↗
